Of all the things we have experienced in Spain, La Sagrada Familia is our absolute favorite.

As you approach the Sagrada Familia, its towering spires command attention. They truly dominate the skyline of Barcelona.

Gaudi was inspired by nature. Inside, the columns feel like a forest of trees and the light is spectacular.  

Your teenager will find themselves transported to a world where art and spirituality intertwine.

Engaging exhibits within the Sagrada Familia provide an interactive experience for teens in Spain. Your teen can learn about Gaudí’s visionary approach and his revolutionary impact on architecture. 

The Basilica has been in construction for over 140 years. The audio guide and museum will teach you and your teen about the ongoing construction of the site, a project spanning generations.

You can get tickets at Sagrada Familia’s website. You should absolutely pay a few more dollars and get the audio guide and not skip the towers. The towers have 504 steps. If you are able, the view is absolutely worth it.

At Reina Sofia do not miss the courtyard. The courtyard has an amazing Calder, O’s favorite sculpture. 

In Barcelona, don’t miss the city’s tribute to one of its most famous sons, Pablo Picasso, with a museum dedicated to his works.
